Your actions, more than anything else, creates the perception others have of you over time.
In a world where we’re told that first impressions count the most, we often forget that over time impressions become perception, and perception is something we can actively influence, and the most impactful influence on the perception others have of us is our accumulated actions.
As time goes by the spiral of perception unfolds and grows, and over time people change and expand their perception of you. It’s creation.
You carry Mother Earth within you. She is not outside of you. Mother Earth is not just your environment. In that insight of inter-being, it is possible to have real communication with the Earth, which is the highest form of prayer. “
~ Thich Nhat Hanh
In mathematics, a spiral is a curve that emanates from a point, moving farther away as it revolves around that point.
Spiral shaped shells are formed by rotating a closed curve around a fixed axis. The shape of the curve remains fixed but its size grows in geometric progression.
Spirals represent movement through life. It’s the symbol of progressive development, growth and expansion on our journey towards the centre where we find balance and realise our connection to the eternal forces of nature and the universe.
I think of the creation process, my own spell casting, as walking an intention along a spiral path where each little step of a ritual, for example, unlocks a possibility to get closer to the desired outcome as the spiral tightens, until eventually it’s coiled tight and there it is, manifested in my reality.
While my creation process follows the spiral into an ever tightening coil until the desired outcome is manifested In my reality, a shell has a clear intention from the start. It starts at the tightest point and as time goes by it unfolds outwards gradually expanding on its manifested creation. Any desire you have, once settled on, once created and manifested can be expanded in that same way over time.
I needed to concentrate yesterday, or maybe it was a need to do something meditative, so I grabbed some crystals to do a spiral grid outside. One of the palm trees in my yard had dropped a bunch of red seeds so I used them instead to start to create a spiral.
